We are looking for an experienced, talented and proactive part time mid-level Agile Project Manager to help us improve the quality of our next-gen, web-based 3D-data visualisation application which is in early stages of its development. We use a variety of web technologies and our development process often has similarities with games or graphics applications.
You will be the sole Agile professional in a small, fast-moving startup, working closely with developers and stakeholders to understand and improve our delivery processes and team cohesion.
You will independently maintain, review and improve our existing delivery processes and how we work in our two development teams. Your role will include working closely with the Product Owner and Engineering Lead on prioritising upcoming work, facilitating team meetings and creating opportunities to review our existing processes.
We have spent some time establishing what works well for the teams at the moment and are now looking for someone to support the teams in their ongoing efforts and adjust the process where necessary over time. Your interest in team cohesion and making work visible will be essential for the team and we rely on your open-minded approach to delivery to find the methods that work best for us.
You have a keen interest in understanding the impact of an open and collaborative team culture and know how to implement sustainable changes in a team. You are pragmatic and method-agnostic, able to support the team to make implementable decisions. You understand the importance of getting to know your team as an Agile professional in a small company.
If you're enthusiastic about shaping quality in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and are motivated to grow your skills alongside a committed team, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a part time position, working in our Edinburgh office 3 days a week: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The team has a diverse mix of skills with backgrounds in literature, medicine, maths, physics and computer science. As life-long learners we have a broad range of interests beyond our own specialisms.
We aim to foster an intellectually stimulating environment with an inclusive culture. We put emphasis on the craft of our work and sharing of knowledge within the team to ensure that we can all grow and improve together. We would love for you to contribute to that!
We start with a 45 minute introduction call to learn more about your experience, interests and background and share more details about our company and the role.
For our second stage, we will invite you to our office to talk to us in person. We will cover questions about your past work, your approach to challenges and opportunities in your daily interactions. This is also an opportunity to meet our team and see our office space.
The last stage is a 30 minute conversation and demo with our director, Tom Beddard. After this, we will be able to make a hiring decision.
We believe the interview process should be a positive experience regardless of the outcome.
If this interests you then email us and we can start a conversation.
